BORN TO MISCHIEF.....

I was born April 30, 1937 to Douglas and Ruth Christen. I was the their third and last baby. Joyce (almost 4) and Joan (almost 2) were older sisters. Dad was pastoring in Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania and had accepted a call to a church in North Jersey. I held up the move and together we finally went to Bloomingdale two weeks later. I was born in the parsonage of the Roaring Brook Baptist Church of Hunlock Creek. Born breach, I was a difficult birth; my mother could bare no children after me. One humorous story I was told about those two weeks: I was being changed and when the diapor was off I peed right out the window. It was early May and the window being open I, aiming ever so exactly, commited my first act of mischief!
